My belief is that homework teaches responsibility.
It also reinforces classroom learning.

Every morning the students will be copying homework into a homework (“H”) copybook. All written homework must be completed in this copybook unless the assignment requires the completion of a textbook page. All completed textbook pages and the homework copybook must be checked and signed by a parent/guardian each night.
*A warning slip will be issued for incomplete homework.*
Every day students are taught math facts and vocabulary words in the classroom. The students are expected to memorize this information nightly. When you feel confident that your child has rapid recall of the math facts and can quickly identify all vocabulary words, additional nightly practice may not be necessary. This will strengthen the knowledge gained in the classroom, and further assist your child in preparing for weekly in-class oral and written tests.
Students are strongly encouraged to use the “IXL” computer program for 15 minutes each day. IXL homework will be assigned each Monday. This assignment is to be completed by the following Monday.
Please check your child’s homework folder nightly to ensure you are up to date on information that might be sent home.
Remove the items on the “Keep at Home” side of the folder.
Return the folder to school the next day.
